I’m buzzed, and it’s all in the name of Game of Thrones.
If you’re unaware, Ommegang Brewery is officially licensed to sell Game of Thrones beer. Incredible, right? Sometimes licensing can get out of hand, but let’s be real…Game of Thrones and beer go together like PB & J.
Back in September, I heard through the grapevine (aka, Twitter) that there was to be a Take the Black Stout release party at Blue Palms Brewhouse on Hollywood Blvd. The event cost $20, included a commemorative glass, a pour of stout, and a sausage. My best friend, her soon-to-be husband, and I went and had a lovely time.
Look at Val and I with these lovely men of the Night’s Watch!
This time around, Blue Palms was celebrating the release of Fire and Blood Ale, and the ticket included a photo on the Iron Throne. I repeat, on the Iron Throne.
fdvheriguheriunslvdj. RIGHT?! Like, seriously…I couldn’t be more pleased with my Sunday. Rather than sausage, they served Dothraki Turkey Legs. Ben did a better job of tackling than I did.
If you get a chance to check out one of these Game of Thrones release parties, I highly recommend it. Blue Palms opens up Fonda Theatre‘s roof which has a beautiful view of Hollywood (which is beautiful only from afar), and really, there’s just nothing sweeter than a gaggle of nerds on a rooftop drinking ale in honor of dragons and incest.
